I vote for at least one vegan leather jacket for the rain. I’ve had this jacket for several years and it’s my go-to for winter rain. It looks as good as they day I got it and if necessary, it can be washed. (Although, you’ll want to make sure all vegan leather items have a fan nearby to help them air dry quickly.) In this case, I added in a rain hat so you can choose between this and an umbrella, depending on how cumbersome an umbrella is with your daughter during errands. Plus, this hat is hip.

You adore stripes and I adore them for you! Here’s a collection of some ideal striped pieces for your wardrobe. Boden is the grandmother of the Breton tee and this boatneck choice is flattering and timeless. Try the expressive cardigan over top to take this outfit to the next level. Finish things off with a great pair of barrel pants from Ruti. These are also petite! Earlier, I included the Intentionally Blank clogs. Those are polished, narrow and slightly platform leather clogs. In contrast, these Birkenstocks are made of Polyurethane (they feel like plastic). They are super comfortable with a removable cork footbed and can be washed in the washing machine. High enough to wear them out in the elements, they keep you above most puddles but aren’t too high to make you feel unstable. They are an incredible finish to a hip outfit. They can be frumpy and boring with the wrong outfit. But, you, my dear, have THE RIGHT OUTFITS- plural. So, you’ll be shocked at how much you favor them. Again, with or without socks, they are an easy shoe to pop on when heading to school or the market quickly.

You know all about my love of vegan leather jackets for rain. They are functional as raincoats, easy to care for and can level up your look. Let’s make sure you have at least one cropped vegan leather jacket. This will make outfit creation much easier. Should you end up with the black option(s), we may swap out the buttons with the tailor to make them look more polished. So, don’t let that sway you. We’re finishing off this look with a feminine dress from All Saints that shows your shape and still flatters you. Wear it throughout the year. Heads up, the tie can be adjusted to make the dress shorter or longer at the knee.

This is a really fun look for family time inside or out. Start things off with a more delicate ring choice and this off the shoulder sweater. It’s sexy, while still totally appropriate. Wear it with a strapless bra or with a tank top underneath. Alternatively, I vote for this sheer button down with a flattering collar. The fabric shows your shape, which is ideal. You can layer underneath- a tank, a bandeau or just a black bra- depending on where you are going and what feels right to you. How about a pair of vegan leather barrel pants in a gorgeous dusty blue? These run VERY large so you may want to size down to the XS.

I am a super fan of the final two pieces for you- but I do recognize that they are out of your comfort zone. Fortunately, you are an adventurer! Yes. Everyone needs a functional raincoat for dumping rain, time at the pumpkin patch and so on. But that doesn’t need to be frumpy and boring. In your case, metallic is the way to go. Rains makes hip raincoats that are functional and reasonably priced. This will last for years and be a show stopper even in the worst weather. Plus, it’s more visible in darkness, for the win. And finally, you likely know that United Nude is my favorite shoe brand. Below are the pair that are ideal for YOU. This style runs big, so you may want to size down. They are really comfortable, edgy and again, folks will ask you about them. Even better? You can toss them off and on effortlessly as the closure is velcro and they are just fine for rain as they are above most puddles. Plus, the color… I mean… right?!

I’ve been very generous with jewelry recommendations on this list based on your level of enthusiasm and the ability that accessories have to transform a look.
